Dear Christa, Luke & Kim,
So here we are: it won't be long till we're at Luke & Kim’s wedding.
Chris, our “baby” brother is getting married!
Luke and Kim, I’m so happy for both of you.
But I’m also so happy for us.
Because soon we’ll officially have another sister.
Luke, when we were younger and Christa and I would go off to our room, you used to wish you had a brother to share a room with too.
And Christa and I might not share a room any more – but we’re so lucky to have another really special sister in our lives.
Our life plan to open a sweet shop together doesn’t seem as though it will ever materialise :)
Your business planning skills definitely weren’t as good then as they are now (old plan: I make the sweets, you eat them haha).
But I’m so grateful that all these years later, there’s still nothing like being all together.
So many years ago it was so much fun jumping into the sea at Ghar Lapsi together.
And walking to the Colwall train station to go off on another adventure.
Going on picnics, playing football (ok maybe not as often as you would have wished Luke – but still) and playing playmobil and so many other fun games.
And just knowing that both of you would always be there.
And to still know that today is so special.
To know that no matter where life takes each of us, you’ll both always be there.
And to know that there are still so many fun adventures we can plan all together.
There’s really nothing like being with the two of you, Mama, Papa, Dermot and Kim.
Even speaking about milk can be really entertaining! :)
So before this turns into a conversation about milk, Luke and Kim what can I say?
I’m so so happy for both of you.
You’re both such special people and I really can’t wait for the wedding – it’s going to be so amazing.
And I wish you both lots of love, health, happiness and laughter throughout the years.
And as Christa, Dermot and I have all said, know that we’re always here for both of you (just round the corner really).
May you have an amazing honeymoon and a truly amazing life together.
And may all of us always continue to go on special adventures together.
Love you loads Chris, Luke and Kim

PS – We may not be Irish, but Dermot’s name is, Christa lived there for a year, our last holiday all together was in Dublin and I just love this Irish blessing.
So here it is:
Traditional Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon the fields.
May the light of friendship
guide your paths together.
May the laughter of children
grace the halls of your home.
May the joy of living for one another
trip a smile from your lips,
A twinkle from your eye.
And, today, may the Spirit of Love
find a dwelling place in your hearts.
